Let’s Get Personal!

Let’s face it, we all like to have something that is a little bit different and personal in our wardrobe – be that a customised dress or a vintage purchase. My new crush is monogrammed accessories, what I would do to get my hands on a personalised Goyard bag! Here are a few of my favourite pieces right now - an eclectic mix!

Cat that got the cream!

I have to admit love a good rummage in a charity shop or at a vintage fair, but like the trusty store TK Maxx you have to be in the right mood to be there or it will leave you feeling more deflated than ever!

So whilst out and about on a little shopping trip in Preston this past weekend, imagine my delight to stumble across a vintage event, Kitty's Closet, happening at the PDSA charity store. I couldn’t resist a little peek at the treasures on offer and after browsing the clothes rails I made a purchase! A paisley print cotton dress from Marks & Spencer (circa 1950) came home with me for a little TLC, photos to follow soon.

In the meantime, take a look at a couple of snaps from the store! I must say well done to the PDSA team for the event initiative; a great way to attract new shoppers & raise funds!

Snap happy!

Well what a lovely bank holiday weekend i've had; cocktails in the evening & shopping during the day - perfection some might say!

On top of that I upped the ante with my little blog, I had my first blogger meet up in Manchester with the lovely Clare from I like Tweet & a trusty supply of fashionable girlies; Fashion Dotty, isayimposterista, Intrinsically Florrie, Science Geek Chic! Although it was a damp and miserable day it got a whole lot brighter. Starting the way I like with a cupcake sugar rush at the quirky Northern Quarter based tea room 'Sugar Junction'.

Clare brought along a box full of handbags and sunglasses from the new arrivals at www.mybag.com and we got to play dress up with the goodies and the document the experience too in a fun camera workshop at Lomography. I came away wanting to keep my mitts on the fold down leopard clutch & a with new found love for 35mm cameras!

Say "cheese"
Now this is the moment I admit to dropping out of a photography Duke of Edinburgh course some years back! The cute & very easy to use Lomo cameras might mean I try again; the 'point', 'press' and 'wind on' sounds are growing on me!
That's me below, in my new Zara neon colour pop shirt!

My bag? I wish!
Thanks to Clare for the photos

Think Pink!

I indulged in a little retail therapy this weekend and came away with a couple of pink purchases. I wouldn’t consider myself to be a girly girl but I couldn’t resist the fluro pink Zara shirt and cute diamante trimmed necklace from Miss Selfridge. Do I dare to wear them both at the same time – too right I do!

Adding further to my street style website stalking, I have just discovered the Coggles street style pages - hours of obsessing over a hound of stylish folk! Here are a couple of my favourite photos so far...

Constant Craving - street style snaps!

After consuming yet more of the glorious images posted on the WGSN Tumblr page, this street style shot stood out. I love the masculine shirt/ pretty lace skirt contrast and is that a pair of Manolo's (a la Carrie Bradshaw/SATC) & a Charlotte Olympia clutch I spy? Oh my... green with a little smidge of fashion envy!
